Lucky is a small 9-year-old Terrier mix with the heart and spirit of a much younger dog. Don't let his age fool you--this boy still has a playful spark, a joyful bounce in his step, and so much love to give. He enjoys zoomies in the yard, lounging in the sunshine, and every now and then, chasing his tail at a dizzying speed just for fun. Lucky was adopted by an older woman in May 2025 and was deeply loved and cherished. Sadly, due to serious health issues, she could no longer care for him and made the incredibly difficult decision to ask PAWS for help finding him a new home. It's a big transition, but Lucky's sweet, affectionate nature continues to shine through. This handsome guy is truly a people-dog. He thrives on companionship and will happily soak up all the attention you're willing to give. Cuddling on the couch? Definitely. Following you from room to room just to be near you? Absolutely. Lucky bonds closely with his person and simply wants to love and be loved. Lucky is house trained and does well with other dogs. He would do best in a home with older children, as he can get a little mouthy during play and may try to grab at hands near his face. With the right guidance and understanding, he settles in beautifully. Being alone can be hard for Lucky, as he's used to having companionship. However, in his foster home, he has done well when he has canine friends around and a calm environment. Because of this, his ideal home would be one where he's not left alone for long periods--perhaps with another dog, someone who is home often, or a household with a steady routine. Lucky isn't asking for much--just a soft place to land, a little patience as he adjusts, and a human (or humans) to call his own again. In return, he promises unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and the kind of devoted companionship only a dog who has truly loved can give.
