About Arlo Bonded With Easton
Arlo Bonded With Easton is a nine-month-old dachshund/chihuahua mix, tightly bonded to his brother Easton after a wild ride through upheaval and rescue. They came from a home with 100 dogs, suddenly losing everything when their owner died. That crash course in survival—losing family and being shuffled between multiple shelters—left Arlo the more anxious of the pair, needing Easton for confidence. Change is hard for them, but together they've made progress, learning to trust again. At first, even in foster care, they froze and shook, too scared to engage. Gradually, with patient people and a steady routine, Easton's tail started wagging, and after a couple of weeks Arlo's tail unclenched too. Both are clever and shockingly adaptable for pups who had to fight for food and attention. They're surprisingly good passengers in the car. These two get along with other dogs, cats, kids, and even goats—they've seen a lot. They're both food motivated, but Arlo is the recess dumpster diver while Easton guards his kibble, an echo of the scramble to eat among a hundred. They rely on each other, especially Arlo on Easton, so keeping them together is critical to their happiness. Given time and kindness, they’ll continue to blossom. If you’re looking for a compact, loyal duo ready to take on the world—together—Arlo and Easton are waiting for that one person willing to say yes to them both. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
