About Austin
Austin is a sweet, medium-sized black Labrador Retriever mix with a calm, steady energy for a young dog. He came to rescue at two months old and has grown up waiting for a family of his own, watching his siblings get adopted one by one. Now 10 months old, Austin is ready for his forever home. Eager to please and adaptable, he has picked up basic commands like sit, down, and come after just a bit of training and is working on his leash manners. He is described as loyal and wise beyond his years, with an old soul vibe when you look into his eyes. Austin gets along very well with other dogs and shows promise with children. He is still a puppy but seems to have a mature, dependable nature. As he is not yet house trained, he will need some patience and consistency learning the ropes at home. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Austin’s birthday is August 8, making him a Leo—a sign known for loyalty and courage. He’s looking for someone to recognize the best friend just waiting to shine by their side. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
