About Banderas
Banderas, along with his companion Antonio, came into rescue after their previous family was overwhelmed and couldn't keep up with local pet limits. Both arrived in rough shape—Banderas especially, who was covered in mats, fleas, and ticks. Since getting a needed makeover, routine vaccinations, and being neutered and microchipped, Banderas has started to settle into foster care, showing progress every day. He seems to be a Shih-Tzu/terrier mix, around 11 months old, with soft apricot long fur that's finally free of tangles. Banderas is adapting quickly to his new life, learning to use potty pads and going outside with ease, and is beginning to show off his playful side as his health returns. As with any dog that's experienced upheaval, Banderas needs a calm transition into his forever home. He'll thrive with an adopter who's patient, willing to build trust, and can give him the time he needs to feel safe. In return, Banderas promises to reward with affection and loyalty.
