About Bertha

This could be the start of something paw-some. Bertha is a stunning tricolor hound with a sweet temperament, searching for a loving foster or forever home. Over the past three months in Massachusetts, she has made wonderful progress—becoming fully housebroken, social, and especially affectionate. Bertha recently graduated from a 7-week Canine Good Citizen basic obedience course, mastering essential skills like sit, down, stay, and loose leash walking. This delightful girl loves being close to her people and thoroughly enjoys her toys, happily entertaining herself when needed. Bertha would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, as she loves to sniff and watch the birds and squirrels. She is well-mannered for a hound, doesn’t counter-surf, and is impressively quiet, sleeping peacefully through the night in her own bed. Bertha will do best in a home with older children and, due to her dog-selective nature, would probably be happiest as the only dog in the household. She is not compatible with cats. Bertha is available for visits if you’d like to meet her in person and see her gentle charm. Meet and greets are coordinated for approved applicants. Ready to fall in love?
