About Amira
Amira is a striking Cane Corso with a short, soft grey coat and deep, soulful eyes. She’s about as loyal as they come—her favorite place is anywhere right next to her person. Playful and clever, she picks up new commands quickly and thrives on fetch, tug, and chasing her Kong. Amira is house trained, does beautifully on a leash (with the occasional excited tug), and enjoys the comfort of her crate at night. She’s always eager for the next meal or treat and doesn’t mind bath time one bit. Amira lives with another large dog and, after a slow introduction, they became best buddies—she’ll do great with other dogs given time to adjust. She doesn’t get along with cats and, since she’s a strong, enthusiastic girl, older children are a better match for her energy and size. Amira struggles with separation and can become anxious when left alone, so she’s looking for a home where she can have plenty of company. Her past left her a little wary of being crated when you leave, but she’s getting more comfortable with time and patience. This girl’s ideal day includes food, play, walks, chew bones, and plenty of time with her favorite people. She’s healthy, spayed, vaccinated, and looking for a committed home—one in the Sacramento area. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Amira
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Cane Corsos like Amira are best suited for homes with space to move around, ideally with a securely fenced yard. They need an environment where they can bond closely with their family and get daily interaction.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Amira and other Cane Corsos benefit from a decent-sized outdoor area to play and exercise safely. A backyard is ideal, but regular trips to a dog-friendly park will also keep her happy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Cane Corsos can be good with older children, especially if they're used to big, active dogs. Amira is friendly but, due to her size and energy, she's better matched with families who have older kids rather than small children.
