Francis is ready for her third chance. Adopted from the OKC shelter in 2021, her story was supposed to end happily. Instead, she was recently found standing in the middle of the road, painfully thin, with a large tumor on her leg and nowhere left to go. She ended up back at the shelter and on the euthanasia list, but we knew her story wasn’t over. Now, after getting the care she needed, Francis is healed and finally ready for the fresh start she has always deserved. Francis is a 7 year old, 70 pound Pit Bull mix with a goofy personality and the biggest heart. She’s a total house hippo who loves to cuddle and be close to her people. She does well with dogs of all sizes, though she can be a bit dominant and will give corrections when needed. She is potty trained, kennel trained, and very food motivated, making her eager to learn. She will need a strong kennel since she can be an escape artist, and may have occasional accidents if left out too long.
