About Ares
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet ares, the ultimate adventure companion in dog form! This 3-year-old Belgian Malinois is built for movement, purpose, and connection, embodying all the high-drive, athleticism, and intelligence the breed is celebrated for. Whether you’re trail running, hiking, or even doing treadmill sessions, he’s ready to keep up and make every outing exciting. Car rides fill him with pure excitement, and every walk is approached with focus and enthusiasm. Ares shines especially off leash with natural heel and attentiveness, though he still gets excited and can pull a bit on leash—structure keeps him thriving. He’s an affectionate “leaner” who loves to press in close for connection, and he’ll happily sleep through the night right beside you. Smart and well trained, he knows sit, down, stay, off, and heel, and is both house and crate trained (though he'd rather not be crated if given the choice!). Playtime is a highlight for ares, especially games of “keep away.” He has lived with children and genuinely enjoys their company, and he gets along with other dogs, although he prefers to be the top dog. His compatibility with cats is still uncertain. What ares thrives in most is an active, confident household that shares his passion for purpose, adventure, and movement. If you’re seeking a true partner for an energetic lifestyle, he’s ready to join you on every adventure. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
