About Anchor
Anchor’s story didn’t start in a happy place, but he’s ready for a much better chapter. He’s a large golden mixed breed who survived the chaos and stress of a crowded shelter where his time nearly ran out. Anchor is house trained, quiet, dog and kid friendly, and knows a good list of commands—sit, jump, down, speak, shake, heel, and more. He’s crate trained, not destructive, and mellows out easily around the house. You’ll notice his silver muzzle but don’t let that fool you; Anchor is about 3 or 4 years old, with plenty of playful hikes, games of fetch, and car rides ahead of him. He can be a touch anxious in new situations, eager to figure out what people want from him, but bonds quickly with patience, affection, and routine. Anchor absolutely loves to play ball and enjoys hiking, so he’ll fit right in with an active family. He’s loyal, affectionate, and leans mellow but perks up when it’s time for action. Anchor doesn’t get along with cats but gets along beautifully with other dogs and children. He’s neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, and he’s heartworm-free but needs to stay on prevention. Currently anchored in Tulsa, OK but adoptable anywhere in the U.S. He’s overlooked at events—don’t miss your chance to offer him the home he deserves. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
