About Angus

Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Angus is a playful, high-spirited poodle/bichon mix fostered in Jacksonville, NC, with a zest for life and a talent for making you laugh! At around 11 months old, Angus is bursting with energy and needs a physically fenced backyard where he can run and play fetch to his heart’s content. If you love taking long walks, jogs, or even bike rides, he’ll be your enthusiastic companion every step of the way. This sweet boy is neutered, microchipped, and fully vetted, ready to join his forever family. Angus is a classic "Velcro dog," always wanting to be close to his person, so he’s best suited for someone who is home most of the day. He’s reliably housebroken, uses a doggie door, and is comfortable roaming freely when his humans are out. Angus shares his foster home happily with two dogs and two cats, showing affection to both, and snuggles up to sleep with his foster mom at night. While crates make him very anxious, he thrives on structure and routine—for example, he dances by the front door when it’s time for his morning walk or nudges you when he’s ready for dinner. Treats and toys are fast favorites, and Angus loves showing off his agility and winning your heart with his happy dances. Because Angus can be vocal and startle easily at car rides, apartment or condo living is not a match—he truly requires a home with a secure yard and space to play. He’ll need regular grooming due to his beautiful, tightly curled coat, but he tolerates home brushing well. Angus hasn’t spent time with young children, but he is friendly with adults and teens and could thrive with dog-savvy older kids. He’s a fun, affectionate goofball eager to melt into the right family. Please remember, this active pup will need plenty of love and exercise for years to come—he could easily be your companion for another 15 years or more! Give him the lasting home he deserves. This could be the start of something paw-some.
