About Amber
Amber is a striking orange cat with a unique mix of Tabby and Abyssinian coloring. Her sleek, athletic frame, handsome eyes, and long tail make her stand out. There's some uncertainty about Amber's past, but it's clear she’s got a resilient spirit. She came into care as a young mom with two kittens, despite already being spayed and ear-tipped, hinting at a rough start as a stray or TNR cat. Life in a foster home has helped her settle in and bring out her confident personality. Amber is loaded with what her caretakers call "catitude"—she knows exactly what she wants and isn't shy about demanding it. If overstimulated while being petted, she might nip fingers and ankles to make her boundaries known. Her foster parents are working with her on this, but she'll need an experienced adopter who understands feline quirks. She really likes attention, enjoys being held, and gets excited for playtime, especially with catnip toys. Amber adjusts to new things pretty quickly, though she can initially be cautious. While she could possibly live with another cat after a slow introduction, she'll do best as a solo pet or with a gentle, older child. She’s about two years old, spayed, vaccinated, and ready for a patient home that appreciates her unique style. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Amber is perfectly content living indoors, with plenty of vertical and horizontal space for play and exploration. She will do well in an apartment or house, as long as she has toys and enrichment.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Amber’s breed mix can adapt to homes with children, but given her specific temperament, she would do best with older, respectful kids rather than small children.
