About Banner

Banner is a 2-year-old, 50-pound hound mix with a lot of life to give. He’s neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped, so he’s ready to move straight into a permanent home. Banner thrives on activity—long walks, hikes, and time outdoors suit him best. He’s crate trained and reliably quiet overnight, and he’s been steadily improving his leash skills with consistent practice. Banner wants to be your one and only dog, though some laid-back female dogs might be the exception. Cats aren’t a good fit—his keen nose and chase instinct are always fired up. A securely fenced yard is required because Banner’s a natural explorer and won’t ignore a tempting scent trail. He does struggle with separation anxiety and will need continued structure, patience, and positive reinforcement to help him grow more confident when left alone. One of Banner’s best traits is his affection for people. He lights up around company, greets everyone enthusiastically, and especially enjoys interacting with kids. He hasn’t met babies or toddlers yet, but his gentle, loving nature tends to shine through. Banner’s a work in progress, brimming with affection, and ready for an owner who’ll invest in his potential. Banner is currently being fostered in Elkhart Lake, WI—adopters will need to meet him in person. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
