About Sassy
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Sassy is a lovely 10-year-old senior kitty seeking a calm, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years. Having spent her entire life with devoted elderly owners, Sassy now finds herself looking for new companionship after one owner passed away and the other moved to a care facility. She is a quiet and gentle soul who thrives in peaceful surroundings. Sassy adores basking in sunny windows, lounging on her cat tree, and especially loves being brushed, which brings out her loudest purrs. While she may be a bit shy at first, gentle patience is rewarded with a deep bond. One of her favorite comforts is being held close—she feels safest snuggled against your chest while carried on your hip. Recently examined by a vet, Sassy had excellent blood work and a dental, with a recommendation for a high-quality senior diet of both dry and wet food to help her reach a healthy weight. As a Manx kitty, she has her signature little tail, and she is impeccably litter box trained. Sassy can be adopted as a solo cat or with another gentle feline; she previously lived with Mama, who is also available, and they'd be happy to remain together. Sassy is sensitive, affectionate, and soft-hearted—given time in a loving home, she will blossom. While it is unknown how she does around children or dogs, she is likely to be quiet and hide if overwhelmed and would do best in a gentle environment. Most kitties at this rescue are adopted in pairs or to homes with another furry companion, depending on what’s best for them. Sassy is waiting for her second chance to be someone's cherished companion. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
