About Mama

This could be the start of something paw-some. Meet Mama, a sweet senior ready for her next chapter. Mama is a gentle and loving 13-year-old Domestic Short Hair with plenty of affection left to share. Years ago, she became a proud mother in a neighbor’s wheelbarrow and was welcomed into a caring home, where she flourished for most of her life. Following the loss of one owner and the other’s transition to a care facility, Mama now finds herself searching for a new forever home. Mama embodies the spirit of a true companion cat. Whether she's basking in sunbeams, curled up cozily on a lap, or observing the world from her cat tree, she is happiest close to her humans. She adores being brushed, reliably answers to her name, and showering affection. Recently, she received a thorough vet check, including excellent blood work results and a dental, and she enjoys both dry and canned food — a high-quality senior diet is best for her. Mama previously lived harmoniously with another cat, Sassy, and would love to be adopted with her, though Mama could also shine as the sole kitty in a loving home. She’s used to living with other calm felines, making her a great fit for multi-cat households who seek a peaceful addition. While she has been around grandchildren, her interactions with children are not fully known, and she has not lived with dogs. Her gentle, affectionate nature will easily win over new cat-loving friends. Please note that most kitties with this rescue are adopted in pairs or to homes with existing cats or furry companions, based on what is best for them. Since Mama was born on June 1, she’s a Gemini — making her curious, sociable, and adaptable! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
