Newt is a brown tabby and white medium-haired cat currently living in foster care in Greensburg. He has been waiting for a home since April 2026. Newt’s story started on a scary note: after spending a night stranded in a tree and suffering a wound plus the early signs of frost bite, firefighters and a caring teacher came to his aid. After six weeks of diligent medical care, his injuries are fully healed, and he shows no signs of the trauma. Newt is on the shy side—he’s learned that people are safe, but he isn’t keen on being petted just yet. He prefers playtime, treats (big fan of Churus), and chasing dangly toys.
