Dog's Name: Babe Ziggy (ZIG0426ALAMD) Estimated Breed: Pit mix Approximate Age: 12-14 weeks Approximate Weight: 12 lbs Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $500 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Babe Ziggy! Ziggy and his brother, Babe Sammy, have been living in a loving foster home in Alabama for the past several months. Unfortunately, that foster couldn't keep them any longer. When another rescue group that had committed to taking them was no longer able to do so, K-9 Lifesavers stepped in to help. Ziggy is an extremely loving and affectionate Pit mix with a happy, playful personality. He is well socialized and has lived with multiple dogs, making him a great companion for a home with other canine friends. He enjoys playtime, attention from his people, and being part of the action. At his young age, Ziggy is in the perfect stage for training and continued socialization, and he's eager to learn and bond with his future family. With his sweet nature and joyful spirit, Ziggy will make a wonderful addition to a person, couple, or family looking for an amazing dog to share their life with. Apply today and come meet your new best friend! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
