Akela adores squeaky toys, pig ears, and bully sticks. She’s a big fan of watching TV and snuggling with her humans, showing off her true husky personality—she thrives on being part of a pack and would love a home with another husky or two. Car rides are a favorite activity, though she's still working on mastering the jump into the car! Akela enjoys walks and loves to explore the outdoors, driven by her curiosity and motivation for food. She’ll sometimes just sit and observe, letting her nose dictate the adventure. Currently, she is about 90% potty trained, with only the occasional accident. She’s in the process of kennel training and working on polite greetings, as she can get excited and jump up when she's asking for attention or treats. She can be a bit skittish with sudden movements and experiences some separation anxiety, but covering her kennel with blankets helps her settle in and feel secure. Akela would be an incredible addition to a family—especially one with another dog or two to help guide her as she learns the ropes. Foster homes really let dogs like Akela shine.
