About Duchess
Duchess and her brother Teddy have spent their whole lives together, side by side, until fate stepped in. At five years old, this bonded pair of Australian Cattle Dog mixes suddenly lost their home and family when their owner passed away. They've only known love and each other, and now they're searching together for a new start. Duchess is friendly, affectionate, and craves attention—she'll lean into your hand for more pets the moment you start. Both dogs are used to space for running and playing, so a fenced yard would be best, especially given their active nature. They've had some exposure to older kids (13+) but would appreciate a home that can keep up with their energy and offer them that sense of belonging they've lost. Duchess and Teddy have been through a lot, but they're still hopeful for a family who will keep them together. They're up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and microchipped, and waiting in Brick, NJ for someone special. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
