About Arlo
Your new best friend is just one click away. Meet Arlo, a quirky senior with an independent spirit and a personality all his own. Arlo is a 12-year-old, 15 lb. terrier mix who has faced many challenges in life, and it’s shaped him into a dog who truly knows what he wants. He isn’t looking for someone to fuss over him or a home filled with constant activity—instead, Arlo prefers calm, predictability, and a home where his boundaries are always respected. Arlo is not a cuddler or a lap dog, and he won’t be the life of any party. He enjoys keeping to himself and has a fondness for long naps—sometimes up to 23 hours a day! He’ll happily join you for a slow walk and absolutely loves rolling in the grass. While he can be snappy if approached or touched without his consent, Arlo asks for patience, gentleness, and a person who will let him come to you on his own terms. He cannot live with kids or other pets, and his future home must be adults only, with absolutely no exceptions. Arlo needs someone patient and calm who doesn’t mind a companion with a strong sense of independence. He is house trained and especially enjoys his routines. Treats are a favorite, as long as you put them on the floor, and he has a particular fondness for men. Arlo may never be a snuggler and might not warm up quickly, but with understanding, he will be a low-maintenance, peaceful roommate who delights in the simple pleasures of life: soft beds, fresh water, and gentle walks. If you’re the kind of person who values companionship without the need for constant closeness, Arlo could be the perfect fit for you. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
