** In order to adopt an un-spayed kitty from HSMC, you must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "foster to adopt" the kitty and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay surgery. You may need to bring the kitty back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay surgery** Say hello to one half of the darling duo, known as Thelma and Louise. This delightful young lady is the sweet as can be, Thelma. This wonderful girl and her sister came to us through no fault of their own, but only after their previous owners moved and were about to turn them loose on the street. Thankfully a very kind neighbor intervened before that could happen, and took them in until we had room for them at the shelter. This dynamic duo has an estimated birthdate of 9/19/25, so they're just 7 months old. Thelma and Louise are absolutely wonderful girls and they deserve to live in a home with a person or family who loves and treats them with the kindness that they deserve. These sweet girls have the most laid back, loving and calm personalities! You simply will not find two sweeter kitties than these two. They are both very affectionate, love pets and snuggles and simply want to be with their people. These terrific torbies love to play as well. They have a ball with wand toys, springs and crinkle balls. Both girls have met other cats and aren't the least bit bothered by them. They would do just fine in a home with other kitties, or would do equally fine in a home where they are the reigning queens of the castle. Since these two have been through so much together and really rely on each other for love, companionship and a play partner, they are bonded kitties who need to remain together. Kitties adopted in pairs do so much better than kitties adopted alone. Kitties who have a friend do better long term, have less behavioral problems and are just happier and more well adjusted overall. Plus you save two lives instead of one! Thelma and Louise haven't met any dogs since coming to us at the shelter, but with their sweet and laid back personalities, they would likely be just fine with a gentle, cat-friendly dog.
