Small in size but big in personality, she was rescued from a difficult situation and quickly became a favorite among staff and fosters with her sweet temperament. Sassy feels most comfortable around people and will bark if left alone, seeking companionship and affection. She has shown to be very gentle with cats and gets along well with puppies and other small dogs, though she can be intimidated by larger dogs until given time to adjust. Sassy adores playing with bones, peanut butter Kongs, and stuffed toys; she is happy entertaining herself by tossing toys in the air. She responds eagerly to her name, demonstrates excellent recall, and walks beautifully on a leash. During an overnight stay, she proved to be quiet and well-behaved in her crate, with no accidents. While she is known to get car sick, Sassy's loving personality shines through, and she is ready to become an exceptional companion. She is perfectly suited for a young family or couple with plenty of time and energy to raise a spirited puppy who likes to be the center of attention.
