Big Tig
AvailableBig Tig is a large, brown domestic short hair cat located in Levittown, PA. He’s an adult male who has been neutered, is fully vaccinated, and is house trained. Big Tig is known to get along well with other cats and prefers a quiet home with experienced cat owners. His protective streak has mellowed significantly and he’s ready to begin a new chapter in a calm, adult household.
About Big Tig
Meet Big Tig. He ended up with the rescue after living rough behind a pharmacy, arriving as a notoriously territorial tom. Early on, his aggression came out full force—charging at people and making fosters suit up head-to-toe just to enter his space. But after a lot of trial, error, and patience, his triggers became clear. Over time, with structure and persistent boundaries, Big Tig has settled into a different cat entirely. These days, he drops his guard, offers up his head for scratches, purrs loud while kneading away, and is slowly learning the art of play. He didn’t become this way overnight and won’t bond quickly, but he’s proof a determined cat can absolutely turn a corner with the right person. Big Tig needs a cat-savvy adopter who isn’t fazed by a slow warmup and can offer a resident feline companion or two. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, FIV/FeLV negative, and will be microchipped. He’ll only do well in an adult home with no dogs or young kids, but with experience and patience, he’ll make a loyal friend. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
