Andrea had a hard beginning—rescued from the street during an early pregnancy, she went through a loss and struggled with the change to indoor life. At first, she was defensive with anyone who came by, needing time and kindness to adjust. Since coming to this shelter in Clifton, NJ, Andrea has relaxed into her real self. She’s a calm, gentle soul, happiest when cuddling up or rubbing her face on yours. Andrea is a professional cuddler: sweet, affectionate, and tender when she trusts you. While she’s shy and rarely leaves her cozy spot, on rare occasions she’ll burst out, do a lap, and growl at the other cats—she really prefers not to share her space. Mostly, you’ll find her perched on a window sill, soaking up the sunlight and watching the world go by. Andrea needs to be the only cat in her new home, where she’ll finally have all the comfort and attention she deserves. She’s FIV/FeLV negative and ready for a quiet, loving family.
