Meet Lady! **She will be ready for her forever home following her spay and dental cleaning on May 15.** Lady is a sweet, happy 3-year-old Yorkie mix weighing 11 lbs. We rescued her from the Fresno animal shelter along with her four puppies. Now that her babies have been weaned, she is ready to find a home of her own. A little about Lady: She loves human attention and would thrive as an only dog or in a home with other small dogs. She can be anxious when away from her people so she would benefit most from an adopter who is retired or works from home. She is currently accustomed to her foster mom working from home and will contentedly lay at her feet quietly throughout the day. She loves to cuddle on the couch while her human watches television. Lady also loves to cuddle in bed with her humans at night. She is such a sweet dog who loves to be loved. Lady is house trained provided she is taken outside regularly. She prefers not to go outside alone, so her adopter should be prepared to accompany her and spend a little time outside while she does her business. Lady arrived at the shelter with a flea and tick infestation. While she has been treated, she is still recovering from the scabs left by the bites. We have had her groomed, which required her fur to be cut very short, and we are currently applying coconut oil to help her skin heal and using skin soothing and moisturizing shampoo. Lady has received a DAPP vaccine, Bordetela vaccine, dewormed, microchipped and is scheduled for her rabies vaccine the day of her spay (May 15). She will be getting a professional dental cleaning that same day as well. As a Yorkie mix she will need regular grooming. She has not met cats but with proper introduction, we feel she would be just fine. She has met kids and done great.
