About Anchor
Anchor and his family were rescued from neglect, and now he's discovering what it means to be cared for. He’s a playful and sweet young Boxer/mixed breed who comes alive once he feels safe—fun outside, gentle and affectionate indoors, and always up for some attention from his people. Anchor is smart and picks things up quickly, though he can start out timid when meeting someone new. Once he warms up, you’ll see his loyal, friendly nature shine through. Anchor needs a stable home where adopters own their house and can provide a safe yard. He should be treated as a real family member, not left in a crate—if you must use a crate, keep the door open for him to have a cozy retreat. He is not yet house trained, so patience and consistency will help him settle in. Anchor loves spending time with children and other dogs, so he’d do well in a lively, nurturing household. He’s already neutered and up to date on vaccines, making him ready to start his new chapter in Orangeburg, SC. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
