He is the epitome of a "wiggle-butt pittie" and adores staying close to his people, always seeking as much body contact as possible. Ike is both dog and cat friendly, thriving with slow introductions, and is also kid-friendly. He is fully potty trained and, though not crate trained, prefers lounging on the bed while home alone and has proven to be quite the expert escape artist when it comes to crates. Ike joined his current foster home after coming from a Missouri shelter and now lives peacefully with four other dogs and a cat. He needs slow introductions to dogs in public settings, so he’s not yet suited for dog parks or brewpubs but does wonderfully in a calmer home environment. Ike loves car rides, a good game of fetch, and especially cuddling on the couch, sometimes treating his favorite person as a pillow. He is a strong dog, so leash training is recommended to help with his enthusiastic pulling. A fenced yard is required in most situations, otherwise a commitment to ongoing training is a must to ensure his safety.
