Apollo is a domestic short hair cat with a medium build, currently residing at Halfway Home Rescue, Inc. He is a young male and is house trained, neutered, and vaccinated. Apollo does not have special needs at this time, but his long-term health is best supported with a primarily wet food diet. A calm environment and a feline companion will help him thrive.

He was lucky to be adopted quickly, but after experiencing a urinary blockage in his new home, he was returned when his adopter could not commit to ongoing care. Thankfully, Apollo received immediate medical attention and has since bounced back, returning to his affectionate and playful self. To keep Apollo thriving, he will need to remain on a primarily wet food diet, with minimal dry food, to help prevent future urinary issues. A calm, low-stress home is ideal for him, as stress can trigger FLUTD episodes. Apollo would also be happiest in a home with a feline playmate, while he prefers not to live with dogs. At around 3 years old, Apollo is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, tested FeLV/FIV negative, and microchipped for lifetime identification. He is also current on his flea and tick prevention.
