About Ingrid
Ingrid survived a devastating house fire and emerged as one of only four cats out of more than sixty to make it through. The aftermath revealed a harrowing hoarding situation, and Ingrid fought through severe smoke inhalation, burned paw pads, and singed fur before taking on an even tougher battle—a major abdominal surgery to remove a massive ovarian cyst that had fused with her kidney. She lost that kidney and underwent a risky, complex operation, but after months of recovery, she’s now a healthy, spayed, playful ten-month-old looking for a fresh start. Ingrid has a lively, sometimes bossy personality and adores playing with other cats. She needs at least one young feline buddy in her new home. Because of her medical history and remaining kidney, Ingrid shouldn’t live with dogs or small kids who might handle her too roughly. She’s fully house trained, up-to-date on vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Ingrid’s looking for a home in North Haven, CT that understands her journey and can provide stability—a place where she can truly let her playful side shine. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
