About Big Q & Q
Big Q and Q Tea started life on a busy highway, darting through the QuikTrip parking lot, dodging cars and hunting for scraps. A Good Samaritan scooped up these streetwise kittens—and their younger siblings—before their luck ran out. The little ones went straight to safety, while Big Q and Q Tea needed extra time to learn people could be friends, not threats. Instead of being released back to danger, their rescuer worked on their trust, and eventually brought them in, newly socialized yet still wary. That patience is paying off. Big Q will bump noses, rub up, and even kiss volunteers. Q Tea, true to her name, is a little more reserved, but she melts for food, string toys, and a good brushing from someone she trusts. She’s described as a beauty—her black, medium-length coat steals the show—while Big Q is just as striking, thanks to his polydactyl paws (extra toes, even an extra nail!). You’ll need to be patient and let both move at their own speed. These two are best set up in a calm home—no dogs, no small kids, and likely no chaos. They may get along with other cats given gradual introductions. Both love perching high and birdwatching out the window. Countless people have worked to get these two ready for life indoors. Give them a gentle landing and you’ll see the effort returned tenfold. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
