About Dora

Meet Dora! Dora is an 8-month-old mixed breed with the most beautiful muted coloring and an even more beautiful soul to match. This sweet girl got her name after being found exploring a kind family’s property—and let’s just say, the name fits perfectly! Dora is a curious little adventurer at heart and absolutely loves exploring the world around her—especially when she has a dog friend by her side. She has proven to be incredibly dog-friendly and adaptable, adjusting her play style to match whatever pup she’s with. Whether it’s romping around or just hanging out, Dora is a wonderful companion and an all-around great playmate. For a young puppy, Dora has an impressively gentle demeanor. She isn’t overly mouthy or jumpy, and her manners are already shining through. The only time she might pop up is to ask for a sweet hug—and honestly, you won’t mind one bit. Dora truly has one of those special, easygoing personalities that could make her a perfect fit for so many homes. Whether you’re looking for a playful companion for your current dog or a loving best friend to explore life with, Dora is ready to be right by your side. Come meet Dora and see just how perfect she really is! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you would like to meet Dora, please submit an application for her on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. She is spayed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $300, which covers part of the medical care she will receive. **Please note that the breed listed for each of our dogs is a rough estimate unless DNA results are provided in their Bio. All strays have rough estimates of their age based on the condition of their teeth. Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.
