About Kesha
Click apply to start the adoption process. If you are searching for a spirited puppy with a heart full of gold, Kesha is ready to charm you! This affectionate girl delights in chewing, playing, and has recently finished losing her last baby teeth. She adores chew toys and stuffed Kongs, always eager for some fun. Kesha is working on her basic commands and learning to walk nicely on leash with a Gentle Leader, although her high energy means she sometimes pulls ahead on walks. Grooming time is a treat for her, and she's quite tolerant when being brushed or handled. Kesha came to rescue with a broken leg, but her left foreleg has been surgically repaired and she’s thriving in foster rehab. She's still on light duty, so her adventures must be on-leash until her recovery is complete. The positive side is that she’s now both crate-trained and house broken! Kesha is expected to grow into a medium-sized doodle mix (with possible Aussie, Lab, or Wolfhound roots), making her a wonderful candidate for an active family with a fenced yard. Her new family should work with her slowly as her walking stamina increases; the vet anticipates she will make a full recovery. Once she's ready, Kesha will offer endless playfulness and affection to her forever family. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.

Questions about Kesha
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Australian Shepherd/Poodle mixes, often called Aussiedoodles, do best in active homes where they can receive plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. They thrive in settings with space to play, such as homes with fenced yards.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
This breed benefits from a moderate to large amount of outdoor space to expend their energy. A fenced yard is ideal, but they can adapt to apartment living if given ample daily walks and playtime.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Aussiedoodles are generally excellent family dogs and do well in homes with children, thanks to their playful and affectionate nature.
