About Copper

Meet Copper! Copper is an 8-month-old mixed breed Shepherd who’s come a long way after starting life in a small cage. Now, he’s discovering what safety and kindness mean. Copper craves attention from people—he thrives on pets and snuggles, and quickly forms loyal bonds with his person. He’s eager to please, picking up basic commands and doing well with crate and leash training. Copper gets along with many dogs but can be selective, so introductions should be handled thoughtfully. He does great with cats and kittens. Because of his rough start, he’s still learning that loud noises and sudden movement aren’t something to fear, so he’ll do best in a calm, patient home that lets him grow more confident. Copper is food-motivated and sometimes gets a little too excited about meals, a habit that’s improving as he learns his bowl will always be there. He’s house trained and fully vaccinated. Copper gets along with dogs, cats, and children, making him a great candidate for a gentle, loving family ready to commit to his continued growth. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
