About Wesley
Wesley wandered into the shelter as a stray and at first, he was uneasy, taking time to warm up to his new world. Once he found trust with the volunteers, his real personality started to shine. Now he’s eager for time out of the kennel, loving his walks and finding joy in the extra space of the shelter yard. Expect bursts of excitement—he can get a bit jumpy and mouthy when he wants attention, but he’s making steady progress, learning to keep his paws on the ground for treats and praise. Wesley’s treat-taking is gentle, and once away from the hustle of the shelter, he’s been great at meeting new people. He’s playful and outgoing, always ready to bow and bark for a little fun. He enjoys meeting other dogs, though sometimes his enthusiasm gets the best of him, requiring a bit of direction to keep interactions polite. Anyone with a resident dog should expect a meet-and-greet, just to be sure they’re a good match. Wesley is ready for a home that will give him the guidance and attention he needs to thrive. Let him show you what a cool dog he’ll be outside the shelter life. Your new best friend is just one click away.
