After being humanely trapped as a fearful stray, Alma spent some time in a caring foster home before moving to the shelter. Initially shy, she gradually opens up and reveals her sweet side as she becomes comfortable. Alma prefers to observe her surroundings at first, rather than jumping into someone's lap, but once she trusts you, she enjoys snuggling and lap time. At the shelter, Alma has gotten along with the other dogs she’s met so far, and having another friendly dog in her new home may help her settle in more quickly. She’s searching for a kind, patient adopter who understands that she needs a gentle environment and time to decompress from her recent changes.
