Alison spent the early part of her life outside, and was found as a stray on Shores Road during the height of COVID. When she arrived at the sanctuary, she was scared and kept her distance from people, sticking mostly to herself and finding quiet corners or cubbies where she could hide. Over time, and with plenty of patience from staff and volunteers, Alison slowly learned to trust humans. Today, she's approachable and enjoys gentle head pats and ear scratches, though she still prefers not to be picked up. Alison gets along with other cats, but doesn't seek them out for company—she's independent and likes having her own quiet space, especially napping in her favorite cat tree cubby.
