About Amy

Amy is an 8.5-year-old purebred miniature poodle who weighs 15.5 lbs and comes in a soft white and cream coat. She was adopted as a puppy, but her early years were rough—she spent over a year shut in a crate, which left her underweight and matted when she was finally returned to the breeder. Because of that history, Amy still gets anxious in crates unless she can see her human, though she tolerates it better with that comfort. At the groomer, she isn’t a fan of having her ears messed with and will try to move her head away. Despite those early setbacks, Amy is a loving, social little dog who wants nothing more than companionship. She enjoys car rides, playing with toys, and chewing on bully sticks. On walks, she gets excited to greet people and sniff just about everything. Amy is good on a leash and responds enthusiastically to routines—she'll bolt to the door if you ask if she wants to go outside. After soaking up some attention in your lap, Amy happily settles on the floor for a nap. She sometimes jumps up on people when excited, and she does have separation anxiety if left alone at home. Boredom may lead her to counter surf or shred paper, so a stimulating environment helps. She’s fully vetted, microchipped, recently groomed, and had a dental cleaning. Amy gets along with dogs, cats, and children. She’s house trained, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. Now in Warrenville, SC, Amy is looking for a stable home ready to make her part of the family. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
