About Beni
Beni is a gentle, sweet adult cat who was found alone right before a snowstorm in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. After being brought inside, he’s shown himself to be shy at times but is steadily building confidence with the help of his foster. He enjoys and asks for pets, loves treats, and has grown fond of a cozy routine filled with companionship. You’ll often find him lounging beside you, greeting you at the door, or reminding you (more than once) not to skip breakfast. Beni lives well with other friendly cats—he’s content to share cat beds, window sills, or simply hang out nearby and nap in his favorite quiet spot up high. Play has become a favorite pastime, especially toys with feathers or anything he can chase. His curiosity blossoms when given positive attention and encouragement, especially if treats are involved. He’s still learning, but every day he becomes more playful and trusting. Beni’s appetite is strong, and while he enjoys canned food, he sometimes shows a slight sensitivity to certain proteins, so a bit of food trial works best. Despite some past dental issues that will need surgery, Beni’s overall health is good and he’s done well with his vet visits. Beni needs to be adopted with another cat buddy—his foster experience shows he thrives best in the company of feline friends and applications to adopt him as a single cat will not be considered. He’ll make an ideal companion for a patient family who can offer reassurance, time, and plenty of love as he continues settling into indoor life. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
