About Parker
Parker is a big, fluffy white German Shepherd mix who’s still looking for his forever home in Alexandria, LA. At around six years old and 94 pounds, he brings a mix of loyalty, affection, and that goofy charm you only find in the best dogs. He’s happiest surrounded by his people, and he’ll gladly soak up attention and ask politely for belly rubs. Parker is calm and easy indoors, knows basic commands like sit and stay, and handles a leash well, though he’ll need some continued work with pulling. He’s social with large female dogs and would enjoy a canine friend, but he’d also do just fine as the only dog in your life — meaning all the affection for you. He doesn’t do well with small dogs or cats, and prefers not to share his space with other male dogs. Parker will need a securely fenced yard, at least six feet high, as he’s got surprising hops and likes to explore. He’s housebroken, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines, including rabies and Bordetella. He just completed heartworm treatment, and should be all set moving forward. If you want a once-in-a-lifetime companion who thrives with a big-dog experienced person or family, Parker’s your guy. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
