About Honey

Hear what Honey's foster has to say about her! "Thirteen year old Honey was found in the streets of Chicago before she was taken to CACC. Although Honey had a microchip, no one came for her. I'm not sure exactly what Honey went through before she ended up here, but I imagine she was loved & trained at some point as she is very smart, very happy to be around people, & knows exactly how to get herself all cuddled up & comfy in a dog bed. When Honey first arrived in her foster home, she was scared, did not love to be handled & stayed mostly in her crate. Two weeks later, Honey follows me everywhere, LOVEEEEES to sunbathe outside & always wants to be on the couch with me. She has a great appetite & is trained to use potty pads & go outside. Honey is a bit hesitant around other dogs, as she is so small, but over all she co-exists well with her chihuahua & pittie sisters. Honey has some lumps & bumps, a janky leg & a heart murmur, but despite all of that she is happy, sleeps well, gets around easily & has quite a pep in her step. I love to see her spins & tail wags when I walk through the door. I know there are some special people out there who have a heart for senior dogs or hospice dogs (especially our sassy chihuahuas) & would be honored to give Honey the best days of her life!"
