Opal is a senior, spayed female who mixes Maltese and West Highland White Terrier traits. She’s house trained and currently lives in Nashville, TN. Her gentle spirit and sweet temperament shine through, especially as she continues to recover and adapt in her foster home.

About Opal

Opal arrived in rough shape, unspayed and with multiple mammary and ovarian masses. She’s now spayed and has had the masses removed and biopsied—everything checked out, but her future family should keep an eye on her health. This senior gal is all about snuggles, loves car rides, and wants nothing more than a soft spot to land. Opal gets along well with other dogs and seems suited to almost any family dynamic. Stairs are tough for her, and she doesn’t like being picked up much, likely due to some arthritis. If she gets grumpy, it’s only when someone tries to lift her. Otherwise, she’s easygoing and sweet, especially when riding in a car. She’s gaining confidence with stairs thanks to her foster family’s patience. Ideally, she’d be happiest in a home without stairs and with lots of cozy spots for napping. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
