About Appelonia "apple"
Appelonia "Apple" is a sweet senior girl who came out of a hoarding situation and finds a lot of comfort in the company of other dogs—especially in larger open spaces like yards. She's shown that in close quarters with other dogs, she's not as comfortable, so she'd do best as the only dog in a home, but would enjoy regular playdates or walks with confident dog buddies. Her fosters rave about her manners both on walks and around the house, and she's house trained. Apple is still learning to trust the crate, and can be a bit anxious or startled by loud noises, but is making steady progress with the help of her foster and a dog counselor. She needs a calm, confident adopter who will help her continue growing and overcoming her fears. Recently, she's had some very occasional leaking, which is being managed with Incurin per a specialist’s advice. Aside from this, Apple is easy to love and truly wants nothing more than a safe home and a gentle, supportive hand. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
