His calm, affectionate personality makes him a lovable companion, and he’s patient during nail clippings, enjoys being brushed, and likes to play with toys. Arlo’s ideal family is one with plenty of indoor and outdoor space where he can thrive. Since he is such a large dog, a home with children over the age of 5 is recommended to keep everyone comfortable and safe. He needs a family ready to give him attention and let him live his happiest life. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Chihuahuas handle NYC summers better than cold since they originate from warm Mexican climates. However, hot pavement is a serious hazard for their tiny paws, which are very close to the ground. Walk in grassy areas or use booties. Always carry water.
