Billie
AvailableBillie is a large, tricolor (brown, black, and white) German Shepherd Dog mix living in Tigard, OR. He is an adult, neutered male estimated to be around 7 years and 4 months old, and he is fully house trained. His vaccinations are up to date, and he’s adjusted well in a home environment.
About Billie
Billie came into rescue looking worn down, but with time and care, he's put on healthy weight and revealed his true, youthful self. He’s a smart and affectionate guy—playful, protective, and very much a companion once he's bonded. Billie is housebroken, gentle in the home, and picks up new commands quickly. He's about 95 pounds now and, despite his size, has a soft spot for people—especially men. He’s sweet with older kids and did well meeting a young child recently, but because of his strength, a home with older kids (10+) is best. Billie needs to be the only dog. He guards his people from other animals, including dogs, once he bonds with them. He’s working on leash reactivity and will thrive with an experienced handler who can manage walks or a large fenced yard for him to patrol. If you have rabbits or deer that need deterring from your garden, he's up for the job! While Billie is independent and likes his space, he’ll still be a loyal, low-maintenance roommate—a friend who loves treats, the water, and an easygoing daily routine. Billie's a Capricorn, so expect a practical streak and a loyal heart. Your new best friend is just one click away.
