If you’re starting your journey as a dog owner, Aiden is about as easygoing as they come. He’s great on leash and settles right in for a nap on the couch or some independent toy time. When he’s in the yard, Aiden can keep himself entertained, but he also enjoys checking in for scratches and affection. On a recent 3-mile hike at McKinney Falls, he quietly watched the scenery from the back seat on the way there, strolled along on leash without pulling, and snoozed deeply after—so much so that his ride home turned into a long, peaceful nap. In the shelter, volunteers use him to help train newcomers—he shows off his “sit,” listens well, and occasionally pauses for a cuddle.
