About Axel

Axel is a gentle senior who’s won over everyone at the rescue with his quiet charm and steady tail wags. Most days, he finds a soft spot in the lobby where he can greet anyone who walks by—staff, volunteers, visitors—soaking up all the affection he can get. His calm, friendly nature puts people at ease and somehow makes every space feel more welcoming. Axel gets along well with cats, children, and just about any person who stops to say hello, but he asks for a home without other dogs. After coming in as an injured stray, he’s spent plenty of time healing inside and out, and now he’s ready for a peaceful, restful place. No big demands—he’s housebroken, happy with cozy naps and gentle company, and content just knowing he belongs. Give him a warm spot to rest, and he’ll give you gratitude and quiet companionship. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
