Meet "Blizzard" Description of pet ***The Ark of Hope Rescue does not have an adoption fee but we do ask that you consider what The Ark of Hope Rescue does for all the animals that arrive here and make a monetary donation to the rescue. All the animals that come to the rescue have been abused, abandoned or neglected. Most come with large vet bills, the only means that we have to pay our bills, food, treats, bedding, toys...supplies are by your financial donations! Also this rescue is staffed Completely by volunteers, NO paid salaries here! ***THE ADOPTION PROCEDURE After you read Blizzard's biography below, if you are interested in visiting her or any other dog here at The Ark go to: www.arkofhoperescue.org under the filmstrip of pictures you will see "The Adoption Procedure" click on that, scroll down to the bottom and click on “Dog Adoption Application.” Fill it out and attach it to an email (arkofhoperescue@yahoo.com) You will get an email confirmation when it is received. Then as soon as possible someone from The Ark will be in touch with you. Or you can call and ask for Dianne @ 301-478-3300. ***Why is this beautiful girl here? Blizzard is a beautiful white Sibrian Husky, approximately 1 1/2 years old, {DOB: Oct. 1, 2024+/-}. She is spayed, vaccinated, wormed & microchipped. Blizzard was brought to The Ark of Hope Rescue after her mom told us that she couldn't afford the puppy since she lost her job. She has been around other dogs, cats and children, we are told she is good with the above mentioned BUT because food was not always available, we've been told that she can be food aggressive with her food around other dogs. We have seen that she is good with other dogs once they meet and the other dog isn't aggressive. It would be fantastic if we could find a wonderful home with a fenced yard that would adopt Blizzard giving her exactly what she deserves, a wonderful life filled with love and with people she can learn to trust and feel safe with again. We believe if we could find her the perfect patient family/person/home WITH A FENCED YARD she'd make a great addition to the right family. She needs a family to love her and a family that she will learn to trust and love in return! Blizzard is an amazing pup that deserves a wonderful ending to an extremely sad and heart breaking life so far.
