Phoenix is a young, orange domestic short hair living in Waynesboro, PA. At 10 months old, he’s neutered and vaccinated, ready for his next adventure. He prefers to be the only cat in his new home and is fine with calm, gentle children.

About Phoenix

Meet Phoenix! He’s a vocal, attention-seeking cat who’s happiest when someone’s rubbing his ears or scratching under his chin. Food wins him over fast—especially lickable treats and catnip. Don’t expect him to enjoy being picked up or held, though; Phoenix prefers his feet firmly on solid ground. Still, he’s affectionate in his own way and soaks up all the pets you’re willing to give. While Phoenix hasn’t taken much interest in playtime at the shelter, it’s likely he’ll come around in a home—stock up on stuffed catnip toys and jingly balls and see where it goes. He hasn’t met dogs, and he’ll need to be your only cat since he doesn’t get along with other felines. Calm, gentle kids are fine by him. Phoenix is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Fun fact: born July 10, he’s a Cancer—no wonder he loves his home comforts. Ready to make Phoenix your new companion? Start your journey together! Apply now.
