About Lana
Lana is a young Australian Kelpie/Terrier mix, about five months old and weighing 13 lbs. She came into rescue after a rough start—found abandoned with her sister Alana in a trash-filled stream, where they survived alone for a week. That early trauma left Lana initially wary and unsure, but her progress since then has been remarkable. Now, Lana is affectionate and sensitive, eager to build trust with people. She’s gentle and quiet, happiest in a stable home where she can keep learning that people can be kind. Though she’s still getting used to life’s ordinary sights and sounds, Lana loves company, bonding deeply once she feels secure. Calm guidance and patience go a long way with her. With time and patience, she’ll make a loyal, loving companion. She gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children—Lana’s soft, tender nature fits right in. Every animal deserves a second chance. This one starts with you.
