Goose Please Read Bio is a young, medium-haired Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd mix looking for a home that can continue her progress and help her thrive. Goose was once severely under-socialized and reactive but has shown remarkable improvement with time. She thrives with a confident, large male dog as a companion and particularly enjoys the company of her current best friend, a male German Shepherd. She tends to do best meeting new people with a confident introduction and has proven to be stellar with children, always staying by their side and keeping a watchful eye. Goose ignores cats and is highly motivated by treats, learning quickly and enjoying games like fetch and tug. Her recall is strong and she listens reliably to her name or a whistle. Goose is leash trained, house trained, crate trained, and knows how to use a dog door. She does need a secure, heavy-duty crate when left alone due to some separation anxiety, but when given clear guidance, she settles well, especially outdoors. While she barks and whines if she knows her people are nearby, she’s otherwise calm and affectionate. An apartment is likely not the best setting, but a home with a yard and another well-adjusted dog would be ideal. Goose is spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations.
