About Arlo
Arlo is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd and Catahoula mix with a striking red merle coat and distinctive mismatched eyes—one icy blue, one brown. After being found wandering in rural Alabama and narrowly avoiding euthanasia, Arlo ended up at All the Dogs thanks to an outpouring of support. He's athletic, sharp, and always tuned into the people around him, ready to catch treats in mid-air or learn something new. Despite being highly active, Arlo knows when to wind down, happy to nap on the couch or relax in front of the TV. He’s house trained, crate trained, and does well on leash and car rides. Arlo gets along with children and has shown he can peacefully co-exist with certain calm or respectful dogs—females or easygoing males suit him best, while he likes space and clear social cues. He doesn’t get along with cats. New faces may take a minute to win him over, but treats quickly break the ice. At his core, Arlo offers both energy and chill—brains, playfulness, and that crucial “off switch.” Fun fact: With a birthday of October 2, Arlo is a Libra, known for loving harmony.
